Son Farm

Son Farm is an educational garden for the sons (program participants) of the Family Foundation Fund. It teaches them to grow all their own food on a yard-sized plot using low-cost tools, no-cost materials, and simple techniques. In the face of obesity, alienation from the land, and spiritual poverty, we seek through gardening to preserve the health of our bodies, restore our place of creation stewardship, and instill the spiritual principles that present themselves through the practice of growing.

We want the FFF sons to understand that they are the planting of the Lord, who shines His light on them to grow into their destiny. Seeking a healthy and diverse diet, we grow all the vegetable families; strawberries and blackberries; apple, pear, and peach trees; and shitake mushrooms. Our bees do an awesome job producing their golden nectar too! And, our melons are succulent and juicy. During the summers, we sell extra produce at the East Nashville and the West Nashville Farmers Markets and to local restaurants.
